Blockchain Week Kickoff Dinner

Hosted at the Walker Aimes room rented out at UW on Oct 12th from 6-9pm.

We are bringing together speakers and VIP tickets for a dinner the night before.

October 13th

UW Blockchain Exposition

The UW Blockchain Society connects students and blockchain industry professionals to provide opportunities for education, innovation, and employment.

The UW Blockchain Expo will host expert speakers, and offer two tracks of educational workshops by industry professionals with expertise in a variety of disciplines.

October 16th

BlockchainNW Summit

BlockchainNW returns with its fall summit. Featuring over 40+ Speakers.

Focus: Road to mass adoption. Going beyond the hype with dApps, Demos, and forum-style discussions.

Oct 10 - Tezos Seattle Meetup *Tentative*

The first official Tezos meetup. Come meet Tezos community, and learn more about the platform. Seattle Tezos delegates will present future outlook for community & protocol.

Oct 11 - National Security Institute Meetup w/ Bittrex & Homeland Security

National Security Institute at George Mason University and with the support of the Hewlett Foundation and Boeing, we are hosting a networking happy hour in Seattle on October 11 for technologists, policymakers, and industry folks who are interested in cyber policy and national security.

Kiran Raj, Chief Strategy Office at Bittrex and former General Counsel at the Department of Homeland Security, will give remarks.

NSI will also share details on a year-long technologist fellowship we will be launching next year to provide technologists from across the country with the opportunity to gain the core skills necessary to effectively engage policymakers on critical issues.

Oct 11 - Blockchain Pitch Competition @ Columbia Tower - By Token Forum

Token Forum will be hosting a Blockchain Happy Hour at the Columbia Tower Club on October 11th at 5:30pm.

Come mix and mingle with fellow blockchain entrepreneurs, investors, and enthusiast, and talk with old friend, make new ones, and have fun talking blockchain. Come join us for pizza and a drink on us for the first 100 people who checkin (Cash bar also available).

At the Blockchain Happy Hour we will have Pitch Competition for blockchain companies, where presenters will pitch our judges representing 4 different points of view; Founder (John Wantz), Venture Capital (Greg Heuss), Crypto News (Nate Whitehill), and Media (Jonathan Gagliardoni Blanco).

The UW Blockchain Society seeks to connect industry and students interested in blockchain technology. The UW Blockchain Expo will feature speakers, workshops, and panels from companies and individuals involved in the blockchain space. They will share their experiences, insights, and the projects they are working on.

Have a look at the next-generation protocols trying to solve issues beyond Etheruem.

Oct 18th - Hyperledger Seattle: T-Mobile's NEXT Directory & the Business of Identity - 4-6pm

HSM welcomes Chris Spanton, Senior Architect – Blockchain, Cloud Center of Excellence at T-Mobile, and Vice President of the Global Blockchain Association, Seattle Chapter.

In this presentation, Chris will explore topics related to business interaction with the identity space through Hyperledger: from a brief study of the ecosystem in which current technologies are being developed, to Hyperledger Indy and self-sovereign identity, and ultimately T-Mobile’s work in the open source blockchain community with NEXT Directory, powered by Hyperledger Sawtooth.
